Sometimes it helps to take life an hour at a time right after surgery. My inclination was to be impatient, and the reality is that the process has its own timetable and it's a bit different for all of us. It gets a lot better before too long, staying on the plan works. This forum has been my main support group, other than my family. I wish I had found it right after surgery and not 6 months later.

I had surgery 6/30/08..I have lost almost 250 lbs. I am probably one of the higher weight people to have surgery..It was not an easy process, but one I would not ever not do again. I learned alot about why I ate, what my triggers were, what I have problems with and what situations I need to work on and watch..I learned habits to change and things I needed to change in my life...I have several family members that have had surgery, successful, some struggle and some are not successful..
