what spices do you add to them?

I've done Ree Drummond's "Perfect Pinto Beans Recipe" a few times but in honesty, I prefer to use canned beans in my cooking.

I cooked 2lbs in a 6qt slow cooker last Friday. gave 2 qts away & I am still eating them. brings a new meaning to eating leftovers. should have frozen some of them, still have a quart to go. I do miss having corn bread with them.

I like Kuner brand canned pinto beans with jalapeños. Sometimes I add salsa, mustard, or ketchup. I can't find them locally anymore, so buy them direct from Kuner in 12 can cases.
