Hi all,

I'm in San Diego for two weeks for a class and was wondering what the fun spots were for weekend fun. Some friends and I are interested in going out on Fri/Sat night but don't know which places are fun for going out and dancing. Would love it if you would share your faves...any ideas?

When were you planning on being in our neck of the woods? Depending on what your schedule will be during the day, I can recommend Sea World, the zoo, the wild animal park, as well as MANY malls. For Fri/Sat night life, there's the Gaslamp, downtown, or any number of bars/clubs depending on your preference in music. Let us know when you're going to be in town. SOMEONE here usually has something going just about every weekend. Maybe we can all get together??

The Gaslamp is the way to go fo the nightlife. You park in one spot and have tons of music and food all within walking distance of each other. The pedicabs are fun to take and regular cabs are real cheap. If you can stay in a hotel nearby, even better....because it's easy to get drunk off your butt! Trust me, you don't want to try to drive around down there...tooo many one way streets.

Hi ladies,

I'm in town now (got here Monday night) and will be staying thru the 31st (next Friday). The gaslamp district sounds like fun....I like rap, R&B, hip hop, latin and some dance music...It sounds like there would probably be something like that down there? I'm staying on the navy base right near the airport so that area is very close to where I am.

If there is anything going on this weekend, I'd love to go and finally be able to meet some of ya'll...if so...let me know.

It just so happens that I will be downtown on Friday with some of the other girls from. I think Brenda will be going. The gaslamp is totally the place to go.

Wow, thanks for the info! All of those places sound like fun, we'll definitely have to check them out this weekend. Unfortunately I have to leave here for home mid-day on Friday the 31st (to beat the insanity of Friday evening LA traffic) otherwise I'd have enjoyed meeting you for happy hour. Have a great time!
