I really want to go to this, so let me know if any of you are interested as well. We could do a road trip, share room expenses, etc. This event sounds wonderful, it's for people just like us... more folks to meet let me know if you are interested in making a road trip of it with me. Take care!

Here is a copy of the email with all the juicy details:

Obesityhelp is please to announce its 2nd national conference of 2004. The event will be held October 29 – 31, Universal City, Hollywood, California; at the Hilton Universal hotel. Theme for the event: “Come to Hollywood and be a Star!”

To get more information about the 2nd national event please visit the events website.

Hey chicklet, we missed you last night. This sound like a great idea, I would definitely be up for a road trip. Do you know what the room rates are? If you get any more info let me know.

Thumbs up Hilton Hotel

The rates are $159.00/night there for 2 people. You get 2 beds, and it is located right in front of Universal Studios... I have never been to Universal Studios either. I'll see if I can get some discounted/free passes for that.

We can look at surrounding hotels also, we'll have a car since were driving there so location is not going to a problem. I will check for additional hotels, I have a girlfriend that wotks for the Marriott and she can usually get suites for $100.00 with a family rate.. How does that sound? 2 beds can accomodate 6 of uur shinny behinds Im an optimist! I'll sleep on the floor if I need to also, it's no big deal to me.

Here's a description on room amenities at Hilton:

AM/FM Alarm Clock, Babysitting/Child Services, Bar/Lounge, Business Center, Coffee Maker in Room, Concierge, Courtesy Car, 24 Hour Front Desk, Handicapped Rooms/Facilities, Express Checkout, Hairdryer in Room, Mini Bar, Meeting/Banquet Facilities, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities, Free Newspaper, Pool, Restaurant, Room Service, Safe Deposit Box, Shops/Commercial Services, Fitness Center or Spa, Television with Cable, Laundry/Valet Services, VIP Rooms/Services

That would be great to be able to get a suite at the Marriot. I would really like to go to this. I think it would be great. I don't know about the costume party but the seminars sound good. Let me know when you decide for sure and I can register online.

Smile What the.....

I didnt read about the costume party....... c'mon Pam.... you dont want to dress up? I wanted to be Wonder Woman this year... that was my goal for myself to be Wonder Woman for Halloween... but man these thighs, I dont think it's any anybodys best interest to see me running around in blue satin brief shorts ..... catch my drift! Unless I can get my hands on some super duper satiny super support hose.... either that I'll have to revert back to one of last years costumes... Wicked Queen or Miss Piggy.... I'll keep you posted about the hotel!
