H1N1 flu shot
I lucked out! I volunteered to help out a nearby school who was having a flu shot clinic and I managed to snag one for myself
This means I don't have to schlep to MA to get my shot- yay! Now, to figure out where to get the regular seasonal shot without the long drive

Kel, a lot of times pharmacies offer the seasonal flu shot. I got mine at Rite Aid. Although it's getting late in the season, and I had mine a couple weeks ago, and a bunch of other places told me they were already out of them before I found them at Rite Aid.

Yeah, I'll keep looking.. so far they've been out or I miss the date. I don't live too close to many of those places unfortunately. I'll keep looking though.

If you look up the websites for CVS, Walgreens, Riteaid, etc they all have a search function on there where you can put in your zip code and it will tell you if the flu shot is available at any of the stores in your area. But by this time, you may have missed 'em.
You're lucky you got the H1N1 shot. No one has it in my area at all, and no one has any clue when they might get it.

Yeah, most of those chain places are an hour or more away from me sadly. I'll keep looking though.

good for you Kelly! thats really good, here in AZ they wont give you the H1N1 unless your in that risk group. My daughter with the feeding tube is in the risk group and i cant find ANYWHERE that has any left I would get one too if i was in the risk group i'd say you DID luck out

My doctor advised me to get one based on diabetes (even tho in remission), low grade asthma and breathing issues when I get sick. (I have had multiple bouts of pneumonia and pluersey (sp?) in the last 10 years) so she considers me in that 'risk group'.

I was lucky in that we all were able to get the 'regular' flu shot at work (for free)...
Now the H1N1 is next to impossible to get here in Minnesota.
I know several people that are either high risk or have high risk family member and are frantic to get it...but this state is apparently one of the last ones to get any.
I don't understand why no one is taking the govenment to task for this...

I had my regular flu shot last month and my H1N1 a couple of days ago. I am both high risk as I have chronic asthma ( and have all my life) and I am a Health Care provider. So Im hoping not only to stay healthy but more importantly I dont want to carry the virus into my clients
