Default Any suggestions? Help please

There's so much running through my mind.... This might sound silly, but for some reason the thought of learning to cook all over again is a little haunting. I feel like the way I know how to cook wouldn't be appropriate for life after surgery. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good cook books for WLS? Please share

There's a cookbook called Hungry Girl that I bet is good. I don't actually own it. But she has a website that I like. Corrine wrote a review of the cookbook in the Gastric Bypass Nutrition section not that long ago, if you want to look for it.

There is a great blog with recipes you might want to check out. It's theworldaccordingtoeggface.

And check out the recipe section in the Nutrition forum here on TT. I've found lots of yummy things there.

Not to worry... eventually you'll discover the foods you can and can not tolerate, it tends to be different for everyone. And in the end, once you omit the foods that you can't, you'll find yourself just eating less. If you take this very seriously and spend time getting things right in your mind, you'll just be drawn to the healthier and better for you choices. Pre-op when I was hungry between meals, I'd grab a Ding Dong and some Fritos. Now, I devour a sliced tomato and string cheese. I still cook the same foods for my family, I just each much less of the starches and more of the proteins and veggies. You'll be just fine.
