AMAZING food find!!
I may be way behind the times on this, but I just found the most amazing tortillas! I know I know, tortillas are a bad idea, but wait until you hear these stats!
Serv Size - 1 tortilla
Calories - 50
Total Fat - 2g
Sat Fat - 0g
Trans Fat - 0g
Cholesterol - 0g
Carb - 10g
Fiber - 7g
Sugars - 0g
Protein - 5g
THATS ONLY 3G NET CARBS!!! And they're great for us flour tortilla people because that is what they taste like! They're whole wheat and I seriously couldn't believe those stats. They're made by La Tortilla Factory and they're called Smart & Delicious tortillas. And boy are the delicious!
You could probably crisp them up and make a mock-pizza, or they're great for tacos or mini burritos. I made chicken fajitas last night and just grilled up some boneless skinless chicken breasts, sauteed some onion & peppers, and topped it off with some salsa! So good and pretty much guilt free.
Go get some!

I have a bag of these in the fridge and used em to make a mini pizza with low fat mozzarella and turkey pepperoni. They are pretty good!

I tried to like these and just couldn't handle the flavor. Coming from a background where HOMEMADE flour tortillas were the norm, these just weren't cutting it for me. I would rather be left with the memory of a nice, warm, homemade tortilla fresh off the comal oozing with butter, thankyouverymuch.

Lol thanks for reminding me about those. My sister in law is from Mexico and makes them and yeah they are out of this world good. She uses a Comal that belonged to her grandmother.

Ok riddle me this tortilla eaters.
Even at over 2 years out, after 3 bites of flour tortillas I am stuffed. They just fill me up too damn quick, so I dont waste space on them. So do these have the same effect for those that have eaten them?

I have not tried a real flour one post op but I can eat half of these whole wheat ones. Only did it once to make that mini pizza and DH ate the other half. They are really thin though.

I get the same effect. low-carb bread too.
I pretty much reserve them for use when I need meat in a "portable" form like when taking lunch to work and I don't want people to look at my cross-eyed if I construct roll-ups in the kitchen.

I heard about these tortillas from The Biggest Loser. Bob mentioned them once or twice in Season 3. =) I think they're a great way to feel satisfied and do the right thing at the same time. =)

I love to use these, and I grill them on my George Forman Grill, Yummy. I made them for my family and they loved them.
