Default How fast did you drop the weight?

I am exactly one month out today and i have only lost 20 pounds? Isn't that kind of slow.. I see people losing 30+ pounds there first month? Plus i haven't lost in like a week!!!

Am i doing something wrong? *sad face*

20 lbs in a month is great!! I am 6 weeks out and I am down 24 lbs from day of surgery. That 4 lbs a week for me.

If you are following your guidelines and getting all your supplements then I am sure you are on the right track.

Hang in there!

everyone loses at different rates and there are a variety of factors outside of your control like age, gender, and how much you weigh to begin with (young people tend to lose faster than older people, guys tend to lose faster than girls, and the more weight you start with, the quicker it will drop off at first)

please dont compare your loss to other people's loss' i know personally how hard that is to accept, but it'll make you miserable and hinder your own journey by trying to follow another person's journey. Your fine, keep up the work you've put forth also EXCERSIZE every single day. You will feel a difference in your overall well being

No, 20 pounds in the first month is not slow at all. I think it's pretty typical, actually. Some people do lose more, but some lose less, too. And it's also common to have a week or longer here and there that you don't lose anything.

The worst thing you can do is compare your numbers to others. All it will do is end up depressing the crap out of you.

Your body is gonna lose at its own rate. We all do.

You are doing great. Be proud of yourself.

It's definitely different for everyone. I didn't loose anything my first month but by month 3 I was down 75lbs. I just passed the 8 month mark as of the 25th of Oct. and Im down 225lbs so far. I'd like to ask if thats normal myself but again everyone is soo different so you can't compare. AND grats on your first 20!
