Default H-Pylori

Does anyone know much about H-pylori?

My doc said I tested positive for it and now I'm on a bunch of antibiotics and stuff to get rid of it before surgery.

Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this.

Check out this website and you'll learn everything you need to know. I've had it and it's very treatable. Not to worry at all.

A friend of mine dealt with it prior to her having gastric bypass. She had to do 2 rounds of antibiotics before she was done. The antibiotics made her sick to her stomach so be careful when you take them. It's best to take them with a meal.

On the plus side, she got rid of it, had surgery, and is down 110 lbs in a year!

I think its very common, Just remember to eat with your meds, and drink pleanty of water. All should be fine.

Thanks everyone!

I started taking the meds this week and of course with all of the antibiotics I got a killer yeast infection so I am trying to deal with that right now. The meds TOTALLY upset my stomach! I can't wait for it to just be over...

Call your doctor he can give you a pill that will take care of the yeast infection. You will in most cases have to take it twice. One this week and one the next. But trust me you will see a difference in about a day.
