My Center of Excellence has a support group and is five minutes from home, but I haven't been to one. They begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday nights, but I have class then.

My doctor's office holds a support group numerous times a week both at lunch hour and in the evening times after work.

I am very fortunate to just have them like 2 minutes away from my house and about 5 minutes from my work.

I have been to a meeting because my surgeon requires that you go to at least two meetings before surgery. I did enjoy the one I went to though so I am really looking forward to going again.

Yes, my doctor is a center of excellence and they do have a monthly meeting. I went to one before my surgery, but it was patient run and I wasn't real thrilled with the person who ran it, but I would really like to try it again when it is run by someone else. I just wish it wasn't so far away.

I really enjoy being able to get support here.

If an hr drive is close then yes, but it is during the normal persons working hours. In my area no and that is a 1/2 hr dive or less. Nope

My Center of Excellence has one too- 20 minute drive if that- there is something for every stage of surgery too. First Tuesday is a lapband group, first Wednesday - beginning the surgery up to 1 .5years out, 2nd Wednesday-maintaining 1.5 and further , then there is a cooking class, and also a walk on weekends

That's really cool! I wish mine was more organized like that. I'd love to go to a cooking class too!

I'm really lucky I have two support groups within twenty minutes from where I live.

My doc has a group at the hospital he is at, and also offers again in other areas to cover a larger geographic area. It is patient run with staff present. They try to have guests from time to time, form the doc to a nutrition, to plastic surg.I have only been to one and it was well worth it. Can't wait for the next meeting.

What did they do? Was it the rack? The Wheel, maybe? Thumbscrews? What? Cali – cali – what? I didn’t catch that. I never heard of a torture called cali-something. I wonder what it could be. Cali – cali – calisthenics! Calisthenics? That’s not torture! That’s exercises, you big baby!
