Default Motivators...

What are you looking forward to as your weight comes down? Here's one of mine.

While winterizing the yard today and putting away the canoes, I started giggling. My husband asked what was so funny.

I said, "Next summer, not only will I be able to actually fit in the double kayak (instead of having to use the canoes), but if we bottom out in a shallow creek, I won't have to be the one to get out and guide it through because it won't be my butt weighing it down!" My days of portaging are over!

Since I met my hubby in 2005 we have went to several amusement parks and sadly I have had to watch him go on rides by himself. I am really looking forward to a suprise trip to universal studios and disneyland next spring where we can do everythig together. Also my 30th birthday next march we are going to Vegas and I am going to take him on all the rides there also!

what am i looking forward too?...

...not having to go to specialty stores and spend 2x as much just to wear clothes that i dont completely hate. dancing the night away with my friends and not getting worn out before i'm ready to quit. not being embarrassed to meet new people because i am worried about what they are thinking of me. not passing my bad habits on to my beautiful daughters and at the same time not making either of them scared of food.

now, to just get over this up and down of i can do this/i'm scared to death that i'm going through right now! LOL

Looking forward to being able to run and play with my little one for as long as he wants. I am looking forward to not having to spend a fortune on clothing.

Well you can forget that Christi you will spend an absolute fortune on new clothes

I'm looking forward to settling down at goal weight and being able to wear my new clothes for more than a month before they are too big

I'd love to be able to run again. Not sure if my knackered old knees Will ever forgive me enough for killing them for the last twenty years to allow it, but I'd love to be able to run fast even if it was only a few hundred yards.

My big wish for next summer though is to get back on two wheels. True I'll never look as cute in leather as my dear friend Kymel, but it would be nice to get back in the saddle as it were.

I've wanted to do it for ages but was too worried that if I fell off, and I did make a habit of that when I last had one LOL, at 15 stone plus (>210 pounds) I would never get through any operation to try to mend me. Below that I'd have a chance.

i tell you what, my knee was one of my huge motivators for going to the doctor and getting the ball rolling. i've always been able to somehow tell myself, "yeah, i'm fat, but i'm okay..." then my knee starting hurting and i couldn't deny all the damage i've been doing to myself any longer.
