Heh I'm not so well known around here anymore, too many new faces, and I don't sugar coat anything, so my mouth gets me in trouble. So far the birthday has been meh. Doctor's appt...I don't like my OB. He's not concerned about my iron (I am), he won't prescribe me a medication I've been taking for 12 years and NEED to prolong my quality of life, and I gained 4 pounds.
Other than that. . . .I have a clean living room and didn't have to do it myself

Happy Birthday, Jenny!
Sorry the birthday has been "meh" so far, but I hope the next year is wonderful for you, Andrew, and your growing family!

Well, obviously we got together 14 weeks ago
As far as permanently. . .we've got one last hurdle with immigration. They want something stating the custody arrangement with my oldest child. I sent what they originally asked for...which was a notarized letter from her father, giving his permission for our daughter to become a permanent resident. If they want something official regarding custody....well I'm sorry but I can't do that.
Her father and I were never married. We split up while I was pregnant with her. He moved out of state when she was 5, and didn't see her again for almost 9 years. Custody laws vary per state, but I believe Oklahoma's basic custody for unwed parents is sole custody to the mother, unless the father objects. He doesn't object. So, if they push the issue, I'll have to write a letter explaining this, as well as print something out regarding basic custody laws for this state. It was this same issue that got our visitor permit extension request denied.
The good news is, I know all this stuff for a fact because I spoke with someone at the Canada Immigration Centre today. So....right now it looks like they're just waiting for the letter I sent already. I sent it a few weeks ago, so they should have it by now, but the guy said sometimes it takes a month-ish for them to go through all the mail they get.
I'm hoping it's soon. I so do not want to have this baby in Oklahoma.

You should get the letter and the law stuff ready to go now just incase they want it something more. This way you will be ahead of the game. If they say OK you can come back how long before you can pack up and go? Can Andrew come out and help you get back there?

I bet Andrew wants one. Hopefully you two can be together permanently soon. You have got to be the strongest woman I know to have gone through all you have. Keep us posted on the progress. Packing should take...maybe a week. I'd want to sell all the big stuff...couch, entertainment center, etc. It would depend on how we move. Moving companies was $4000+ to move us internationally. I think we'd be better off installing a tow hitch to my Rodeo and shoving all we can into the biggest trailer that UHaul will rent to us. Andrew wants us to ship goods and fly up there. It's not so much the packing, it's getting the money to move. A move this big takes A LOT of money. Not to mention, Andrew is renting a room right now...not an apartment...a room. So we'd need to figure out living arrangements.
I gave him a deadline awhile ago. There's going to come a time (soon) when I'm too far along to plan and execute an international move. I'd be okay with throwing EVERYTHING into storage and packing the car with just what we need...but I did that already when we moved up there the first time, and my stuff is still in storage.
