I think it's very important for her to do this with her children because they are gonna have to deal with their own lives after their dad is no longer president and they have families of their own.

Any decent parent would instill their children with a little bit of work ethic and that nothing comes free. However, that she does it and everyone knows it is awesome.

They really are a lovely family. I don't forsee them being a scandal pit like past "first teens".

it is my understanding that they have to pay for their food and that it's not cheap. one person I saw interviewed mentioned "sticker shock" of most first ladies - and she said that she gently reminds them that they have professional chefs preparing the food so they pay restaurant prices.

it's not cheap and neither of the Obamas come from money, so I imagine that fast food plays a supplemental role (if it plays a role, which I don't know).
