Ok, when I made the comments in the past that certain people were giving out WAYYYYYYYY too much of others personal info over this public thread, it wasn't just me being a biatch. Yesterday, my whole name, facebook/myspace, address, dads address, mom/sis name, moms employment was given out on a social site. Apparently people take things over the computer VERY seriously, and took it to a whole new level of potentially being dangerous. My house is on the market and we have open houses constantly (making it just a little more dangerous than usual).

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO IS ON THE OTHER END OF THE COMPUTER. Honestly, I think people are freely trusting others and compromising their safety. Not saying that any of you would do that, but it isn't 1967 anymore.. there are whackos out there, pleaseeee do not give your/anyone else's information out over a thread or anything like that. It can be easily googled and people harmed.

I am, I am. Creepy, but im irrestible, what can i say? No really, I hate seeing peoples info out here and i even hate to call it out, but laura.. you need to take down julies hospital info. IF you wanna PM it that's fine, but you don't know who is out there honey, please... don't ever put yourself in the that position where you will regret it.

It's so true, you feel safe online, but you have to protect your information. I was beyond creeped out a few years ago when a friend of a friend gave my info out to some dude she met online.

I got an IM from a dude saying something someting asian sumpin. Needless to say I didn't have my info public and ny profile had nothing to do with my race. Scary, who knows what this idiot told him! Needless to say I chewed her the hell out.

There was an article in Cosmo (I know, how credible right?) about a girl who had her profile duplicated online without her knowledge. Very creepy.

I have had my business and personal info plastered on a diferent website before. It was very disturbing. It makes one feel truly vulnerable.

Do be careful what is actually posted within your profile and what is posted here.

It's a fun place, but, it's not worth it if you get exposed or even worse.
