I will say one last thing here. But how is jersey really offending anyone. If you dont like a song on the radio you turn the channel same for TV. If you dont like what she says dont reply. Thats the other one I forgot COMMON SENSE!

Sweetie... I'm sorry you seem to have sort of stepped into something that is none of your own making.

That said.. the point of my reply is that no, I would not choose lap band, and to be perfectly honest, I often wonder what it is about it that has so many people choosing it when it has such a high complication rate and a slow/low weight loss success for soo many. Some do so well with their bands but time will tell whether it erodes or slips or whatnot. I didn't want that risk. I didn't want to have to continue go to the doctor for fills/unfills and all the futzing that is needed with the band.

I also hoped to have the dumping to keep me honest which many people get with the RNY. I don't dump, though.. at least with anything I've tried, anyway.. 18 months out and though I've had things stuck, I've not dumped.

Anyway, hopefully that answers your question. If not, feel free to start a thread so that your question is not lost in the mire.
