I blame her. She has clearly let the whole TV thing go to her head. That's the danger - those production people sweet talk you to your face and snark behind your back and when you're not part of the show anymore, you're invisible.
I also think he should have been a little more engaged and put his foot down - I don't think he was as into being a reality show star as she was and it probably cost them their marriage.
and 8 kids...geez...so sad.

well- he quit his job to take care of the kids...alimony?? yikes?? it really is just sad- that they werent strong enough to pull through and decide what truly would be best..take a season off and work it out- but of course they have a contract with TLC and the ratings are WAY up- TLC will never let them do that...
all I can say is good luck!! and I really do hope for some normalcy in these kids lives..

I watched part of the first season and maybe part of a second season.
They were UNHAPPY FROM THE WORD GO!
I was raised in a family where the parents didn't get along, and I feel I was hurt by it.
My brother got a divorce and see how his kids are hurt by his choices.
But honestly - happily separate / divorced parents are better environment to be raised in than excruciatingly unhappy parents sticking together for the "kids sake".
I don't much care what they do -- just please don't let them go on welfare because they can't afford the insane medical 'miracles' they call sextuplets. I don't want to pay for their greed.
*heavy sigh*
/off soap box
I have very strong beliefs that will offend a few folks, so I'll try to stop before I go too far on that topic.

Regardless of who was at fault, who did what first, money, fame or whatever - the children are the one's who will be affected the most by all of this.
Hey, if their series is canceled - there's always Octo-mom (now THAT is a train wreck waiting to happen)

My ex and I did that for two years.. (we had kids house, mom's house, dad's house) but it only works if the two adults actually behave like adults.. (which is why ours ended after two years... he decided his girlfriend needed more attention than the children did)
That type of custody arrangement is called bird nesting and takes a *lot* of cooperation. And money. Along with the ex behaving like an asshat, the expense was really difficult.. I'm sure these two could do it financially but I don't know about the two adults and their behavior. I hope to God they end the show.. the last thing these kids need is to have the rest of their family breakup aired on national TV

Hi Baron. I am with you on the octo-mom thing. How? Why? I will never understand.
