Default Not Really A Date, But ...

Many, many years ago when I was in college (the first time), still living with my parents, one of my mom's friends called. She was going through a very nasty divorce and asked if I was home - she needed someone to "talk to."

Okay, I go over, she wants to go out someplace where we can talk in private (she was living with a friend in a condo.) We go out, she directs me to the parking lot of a local park, and has me park at the far end. It was getting dark - (See where this is going )

During a break in our "conversation", she leans over and plants a hot wet one on me. She then proceeds to unbutton her blouse and tells me point blank she's not had sex in over a year, then goes after the shorts I was wearing. Hey, who am I to argue?

When she comes up for air, she suggests we go back to her friends place, and "talk" some more. We do, her friend leaves us alone in the "den" (converted bedroom). My friend goes over, locks the door, turns off the lights - and attacks me.

Yes, she is the definition of MILF. Hooo boy, what an experience for a 19 year old kid. She left the state shortly after that, and never heard from her again. Ohhh, but the memories!

But, a few months ago I started wondering if something was coming across that said to guys that I need to hear something like that? Don't get me wrong, I try to appreciate the complements, and I'm always gracious about it and say thanks...but I dunno. Do cute guys walk up to women that the whole of society considers "hot" or "beautiful" and tell them that? I'm kinda thinking they don't.

I really brush it off for the initial pick-up, but what's eating at me is when I've been seeing someone for a little while and they're still telling me how beautiful or attactive I am. I don't think I've ever felt the need to tell a guy he's cute or attactive. I guess I figure they know they are already (if they are) and don't really need to be told. Feels weird to say something like that to someone...or at least for me it does.

So what gives?
what they're really saying is Can I get in your pants!!!!!

Honey, thank you so much for that bit of wisdom! Sorry, I don't mean to be snarky...but this ain't my first trip to the rodeo. Their intent really wasn't the question.

Congratulation on your decision for WLS, and good luck.

it was more sarcasm that was intended

even now before WLS I have trouble believing it and tell my SO's to cut it out!!!! I always have a hard time accepting it and fear it will get worse once weight comes off!

On an almost daily basis i tell my hubby.

<insert dreamy look in eyes>
Me: baby?
Him: yes sweetheart?
Me: baby, you're so hawt!
Him: <chuckle> I do what I can for you sweetheart.
Me: Lets do it.

I mean.....

hehehe

Seriously though, my hunnybear tells me all the time how cute or beautiful I am to him. I don't think he feels that it's necessary. I think maybe those are the guys that love to make their mate feel like a princess. I think a little of that may also have a hidden message... "you're so beautiful" means "i'm so lucky to have you".

awww - that's so sweet...you're a lucky woman. And, thanks for that viewpoint - I'd never really looked at it that way.

Bridget - yer a lucky too lady! I've seen comments about your hunny in other posts, and well...for now I'm envious. Good catch woman!
