Default Anyone remember me? Need oldies advice?

Well if anyone remembers me, I'm Izan. I am going to be 42 in August. I have 2 children, a boy 23 years old and a daughter about to be 14. I am 17 months post op, and had decided today that I guess I would never lose another pound. I have even gained back a few pounds and was really depressed. I was ready to give up, got some encouragement from a couple friends on another site to not give up. Well, I had my doubts, then something happened. I have always had a hard time getting pregnant and staying pregnant, so being late was no big deal, I used to go 6 months without a period, except since my surgery I had been right on every 18 days, then went to every 28 days, right on schedule. I was 9 days late on my period, and decided to test.

Still didnt believe it, called my dr, he said come right in, all the girls in the office were freaking out with me, then it was confirmed. I am due Feb. 7, 2010. OMG!!! I need all the advice I can get and if you are older the better hahaha!!!!

Well, I simply can't imagine and so am DAMN glad I could never be in your shoes.. phew! ( no offense!!...) but.....

CONGRATS!

My advice would be to seek out an ob that is familiar with pregnancies post WLS (maybe your surgeon could direct you to the right doc). You will need to be doubly careful on the nutritional side of things so that both you and your baby gets what you need.

Good luck to you and your family! It will be an exciting trip for you all!

thanks Kelly. Yea God help me. My son just moved back home, so here is my current home situation. Me, my dh, my son, daughter, grandson, BIL, nephew, niece. Well we already had 6 dogs, a cat, bird, and two fish, now when my son moved back last week, he brought two pits, and a cat. Well girlie pit had 6 pups the day after. So now we have 8 people, 14 dogs, 2 cats, 2 fish, a bird, and a baby on the way. Can anyone guess why I was ready to give up. Oh well, the more the merrier the say.

Default I'm 61 and have nightmares about this

I am really glad it's you and not me. Many people have told me that late
in life babies are a real blessing. Best wishes to you.

Wow.. you have your HANDS FULL! How long will all the extra family members (and animals) be staying with you?

I think you're going to need to tart making a plan for moving forward so that you can focus on your own health and that of the baby. Now is the time to be S.E.L.F.I.S.H... hopefully your family members are doing what they can to take the stress off you.

(and looks like you gotta update that sig to feature your "NEWS" )

well, just found out today about baby. Son and BIL will be gone within the next two months. I have to drive to Mexico the end of July to take my BIL back, and hopefully son and girlfriend find a house soon and take their animals with them. My grandson, niece and nephew I have custody of, and of course my daughter. God loves me to stay busy I guess. Thanks to you all, and Im sure I will be having nightmares soon enough, haha!!

Okay.. so you will still be really busy once some of them move out.. and since you've only found out today, you need to start by taking deep breaths! DEEP Breaths!

I'm one of those types that would need to make a plan, make a list, then another and another. Then I'd go freak out --> LOL
