It's hard to tell you how to do it, because it's mostly just a matter of willpower. Carry around a timer, or set your cell phone alarm, if that's an easier way of remembering it.

You WILL sabotage your weight loss if you don't comply with this rule. By drinking with (or too soon) to eating, you are creating a "slider food". This means the food is being pushed out of your pouch too soon, and you'll get hungrier faster.
ditto what Sherry said

i stick a bottle of water in the freezer before i sit down for dinner and when its cold enough then i can drink it afterward. lunch is easy because i'm done with eating around 11:30 and get back to work at noon. i can drink once i'm back at my desk.

breakfast meh.. i usually keep a bottle or jug with me at my desk, but i don't typically reach for it anymore while i eat

That's what I needed to do, remove liquids entirely while I am eating. Because I will forget too, old habits die hard! It does get easier.

I too remove the drink from my eating area. When out to eat my kids and husband will take my glass and put it on the other side of them- its very easy to forget and reach for it- my family helps me out doing this.
