Yea Kaiser..
OK off subject WLS wise, but I have Kaiser, and I pay a LOT of money for myself and employees, (DID i SAY A lot!!) and today, Kaiser said they want the "MOTHER" of the new eight children to reimbuse them the money for the care of the babies!!
This brings a tear to my eye, it wont be a popular opinion Im sure, but I sure dont want to pay for this womans DUMBASSDECISION!
The way I look at it is, they could give 400 obese people the chance of life with gastric bypass, for the cost of this persons poor decision.
Maybe the ass hat that did the fertilization could pay for it?
OK rant over!!
Yes...Im pissed!!!

I agree with you100% Baja. Your opinion is very popular with me. This woman has some serious issues much deeper then just wanting to be a mother. The doc that kept impregnating her should have to help her pay all those bills. And then have his license revoked.

I agree with you too. No way in hell should Kaiser members have to pay for this. Also, in my mind, that woman is clearly insane. Her own mother even says it. I agree that the doctor who impregnated her should have some kind of penalty to pay for his misdeeds. To me, what that doctor did was just clearly irresponsible. This woman is just selfish. If she really cared about those children, she wouldn't have tried to have so many. I'm a mother of multiples and am married. My husband has always been there to help with the child rearing. I had a two year old when my twins were born. The three of them were a big handful and I always felt a bit sorry for the twins because I felt I couldn't give them as much attention as I did my oldest because there just wasn't enough time in a day and there just weren't enough hands to care for them the way I thought they should have been cared for.
These octuplets will never get the nurturing a baby needs. They will never be able to bond with their mother like they should because there is no way in hell she can feed and care for 14 children at a time by herself. I had a hard enough time feeding two babies at once. How in God's name is this woman going to feed 8 babies? She only has two breasts! And what about the other 6 kids? Are they supposed to fend for themselves? These kids are preemies. They are going to have medical issues. Who's going to pay for that? What the hell was she thinking? Can you imagine the diapers? OMG!
Oh boy, this is one subject that really rankles my ass.

IMO, overpopulation is the BIGGEST problem on this planet that NO ONE is talking about. I have never seen a plan to clean up our environment or save our natural resources that accounts for the planet's population doubling in the next 50 years (at the present growth rate). BTW - I live in South Florida where our only "mountains" are made out of garbage!!
If it were up to me, people who decided that they would like to have more than 2 kids would have to pay extra taxes.
Sorry for the rant

As a resident of California, I must say that I am woefully dismayed that ANY doctor would go along with IVF for a woman with no job, no spouse/partner/adult helper person (I'm open minded), no real means of support and six other children! There are many many people who cannot have children, but desperately want them (including many people on this forum).
I don't understand how a doctor could go along with this. This woman obviously has some kind of psych issue(s) and at some point they are going to be the responsibility of the state. Simple math 1 woman +14 children (under age 8) - money = problems
I really feel sorry for those little kids. There is no way one person can provide the amount of love, support, and time that 14 kids need. It's just sad.

Maybe she thought she would end up like the Gossleins (jon and kate plus 8) and that these kids would bring in an income so they can buy a million dollar house like the gosslesins.
the gossleins started this IMO, they had 8 kids with twins already, they get vacations donated, a new million dollar mansion, hair plugs donated, tummy tucks donated, clothes etc etc... how can other people not see this as a potential payday?
i have had the same procedure done that kate had...IUI and i have never had a multiple birth...my doctor must be the top in his field compared to these others.
2 of my 3 children were preemie. 2 lbs both at birth i know what goes along with that..and to even take a chance that could happen your child is careless!
Women are supposed to have babies....NOT litters!

um yeah when you make a bill, you are responsible for it. HOWEVER, i'm positive since she is receiving food stamps she will obviously be enrolled in Medical / Ahcccss and SSI will also pick up the bill since more than likely most of those kids are disabled.
Personally as someone involved in the licensing of new doctors, the doctor didnt follow the code of ethics (implanting more then 3 embryo's) BUT also she paid him to do a job

Its not the doctor's call to judge why she wanted the kids, but it IS his call / code of ethic to follow the standard of care (which clearly he did not) And for that reason only he should be responsible for something and thats what his malpractice insurance is for, so i'm sure that the hospital as well as the mother will benefit form his malpractice insurance with a nice hefty lawsuit.
And i agree that woman is a freak with some mental condition
I think the exact same thing! she's seeking a "pay day" however Vicci, that new house the gosslins have um doesnt look like a mansion to me
