Default Let there be light!!!!!

Finally after 12 long..... days I have power again!!!!!! Thanks to some guys from Mussel Shoals, Alabama who worked hard on getting our powered restored. This has been the worst ice storm I ever remember enduring. We made it alot better then some in the area, cooking and heating with a kerosene heater, and running the frig, deep freeze, one lamp and deep freeze. I now have a new habit of running around everywhere I go with a flashlight. The National Guard was going house to house checking everyone in the area. My power actually came on yesterday at 8:23 a.m. I was so happy I hugged the power guys and started crying. I am sure they thought I was a nut job. Thanks everyone for the well wishes and Kim for you keeping you guys posted.

Glad to see your ok Cassie. It looks like bombs have went off everywhere here. It will take forever for things to actually get cleaned up. We were without power for 6 days, and it sucks sucks sucks!! There are trees down everywhere and the sides of the road are nothing but limbs. I bet you are slammed with insurance claims, we were lucky that other than a few down trees in the back yard we escaped without any major damage.

Btw... Has anyone heard from Angel? I think she lives more in town, but I haven't talked to her in a few days.
