Question Crockpot steel cut oatmeal?? help!!

I love the steel cut oatmeal. But i hate the long cooking time.

I remember hearing about a crockpot method kind of like a double boiler method?
a bowl in the bowl of the crockpot?

I know I sound crazy but i hope someone can help me.

i have the crockpot and i have the oatmeal...now i just need the knowledge to put the two together!

The crockpot method looks pretty neat.

When I make steel cut Irish oatmeal, I make up a big batch on the stove and put it in the fridge or freezer. It keeps for 3 or 4 days in the fridge, and longer in the freezer.

Thats what I do too.

If I freeze it I take it out the night before so it thaws and makes less cooking time in the micro.
I just HATE the long cooking time...

I've got the oats in the crockpot hopefully ready for breakfast.
