Default 5 Landmarks for 2009... taking a page from Vim!

This IS NOT a New Year's resolution thread, I swear! Hate 'em... That said, one of the things I do every year is write down a look back at the year before, and a look forward to the next year. Vim accomplished the "look back" for me with her 5 Landmark Events in the past year thread... so I thought I'd start a "5 Landmarks for 2009" thread here... and we can look back in January 2010 and see what actually happened! Write on, ladies and gentlemen...
  • Most anticipated: My wedding to my beloved Corey, set for June 27, 2009.
  • Getting to meet my stepson-to-be for the first time the first week of April when he comes down from Colorado for spring break. Also happens to be my birthday week.
  • My honeymoon. 'Nuff said...
  • Finding a piece of land and beginning to build our new home.
  • Living my joyful life to the fullest every day!

I hate long-term resolutions too...but things I'm hopefully anticipating is another thing!

- Turn 50 in April, no make that 49 7/8...and HOLDING!
- Watch my 2 oldest graduate (College & HS) this spring (and hopefully not the same week I get banded)
- Lap Banded by summer and sweet spot by Christmas
- A healthier year for the whole family
- Carpe Diem

After a very eventful year last year, I'd like to have things a bit calmer this year. I don't think that'll happen, though. The Five Landmarks I'm looking forward to this year are:

1) Land a job in this terrible job market; one that is interesting and challenging...... with good benefits, lol.

2) DH & I will go on our 'real' honeymoon this spring. After our wedding in Oct, we took 2 days for a short trip to Montreal with original plans to go to the Grand Canyon this spring. We're discussing other options, though.

3) Investigate going back to school and get a degree- probably a business degree, with a leaning in the medical field for a bit of a job security built in.

4) Reach goal by summer- wear shorts in public for the first time in many, many years.

5) DH turns 60 in Sept, I'll turn 50 in December. We're going to have some sort of Decade party for ourselves in November- halfway between each.
