Default Yes Its ONE Year today since surgery!

I cant even believe it! It seems like i just came here and was gearing up for surgery and now i'm 1 year out. I saw my surgeon today and he just said that yeah the grazing / snacking will stop my weight loss. (wish he would have said that in the begginning cause he used to tell me dont watch what i eat!) And for my stats 10 inches off my waist and 11 inches off my hips since surgery. WOW and total weight loss of 77 pounds. (according to thier scale!)

Ya it was one trying year in every aspect from weight loss, to nursing school, to my marriage falling apart and today my 6 year old had a serious melt down at school the cop had to restrain him and everything it was horrible. But thats another story. I just cant believe the year flew by. And they took my picture and i am proud to say i REALLY see the difference. OMG i took a photo of my before picture that they took and i barely believed my eyes wow how did i get that big. I looked like a balloon. Thank you to you all who have been my true support and gave your advice albeit some of it tough to swallow but reality anyhow. My surgeon did say that if i dont get the snacking under control that will not be good, and that really made me understand. But what gets me is that he nor the office never told me how bad that was every time i'd ask him he just said "you dont need to count calories" So today really turned over a new leaf.
Here are my before and after pictures....

Deb, I'm so glad to hear you had such a positive Dr. visit today. Awesome news!

A bariatric surgeon telling his patients not to worry about what they eat AND to not bother counting calories? Crazy ...

But hey, forget about all that ... it's a new year ... and a whole NEW YOU!!!
Keep the faith and a close relationship with your god ... personally, I bow to the Celery God every day!!!

YIPPEEEEE DEB!!!!

I think you look beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen your before pictures and the difference is amazing.

YOU ARE LOOKING GREAT!!!!!!

Well done.

My Dr told me the same thing before surgery. You can eat what you want and then everytime i call him because i am loosing so slow, he says: No sugar, cut out bread, beware of fat.
So now i have to re-educate myself.

Keep up the good work and a very Happy Christmas to you and your family!

Thumbs up amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on your year out !!! well done and the pictures are proof in how far u have come .
I think we all struggle from time to time , its about starting over again when we see ourselves becoming off track .
Tomorrows always a new day , Ive had a bad week this week , been feeling run down , listless and just YUK .
So This has been my worst week so far for the dreaded GRAZING !!!
and the scales proved that my lowest weight loss since surgery 1 pound
Still today I awoke feeling better and thought RIGHT !!! back to 3 small meals a day .. no more snacking/grazing .
Its easy done to get back into old habits eh ..
WE CAN DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway congrats and well done girl .... u have done superb
Merry christmas from England x
