OT: Homework help...need word
My 10-year old granddaughter is working on antonym analogies for homework tonight and she's down to the last two words to use. It's sailor and operator
Anyone have some ideas for the opposite word of sailor and operator?
Thanks for helping!

If a sailor works on a ship, what about for an antonym...a person who works on land?

A landsman, according to the dictionary is sailor slang for those who aren't sailors. This is according to Allen's Synonyms and Antonyms - Google Book Search
I'm stuck on operator too!

RHymezone.com--you could also use Google's "Define" function. Go to google, type in define: (the word) and hit enter.
Hope that helps.
