Going to San Diego next week (tourist info needed)
Ok well i've decided my kids and I deserve a real vacation so we are driving to sandiego Wed and staying until Sat. I plan on doing Seaworld and Legoland. I personally dont want to goto seaworld but my 15 year old does so there. Any way any advice on what beach to goto? They have never been to an ocean beach and i want to spend 1 whole day hanging out and picknicking at the beach and also is there something else in SD to do?
If Julie is still in the hospital then, i'm going to make a surprise visit i was originally coming so i can meet her

The San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park are wonderful places to go...I lovethe zoo there. There are several ships you can tour including an Aircraft Carrier.

Mission Beach is the place to go with kids as there is a whole "tourist" area there including a roller coaster and other fun stuff. Where will you be staying? oh boy!!! Another TT visitor!!!

You can probably find something more reasonable (than the beach area) in Mission Valley which is about 10 minutes or less from Sea World and the beaches. There's an area called Hotel Circle in Mission Valley where every hotel is next to the freeway. And if Julie is still in the hospital, you'll be close to it as well.

Hey sweetie,
Do you have room for one more?? lol Ash has been begging me to take him to LegoLand for the past few months.
I am so angry at myself. Fall break is next week and I enrolled him for Kidscard Camp because I thought I had no other options......But when I checked my schedule for next week I had the whole thing scheduled as vacation and I thought I was out of all vacation and sick time......I'm so retarded.
So, of course the fee was nonrefundable so I had to cancel vacation time.
Please please PLEASE take a ton of pics. And then we can do another Makutos Village trip.
Next year around this same time we will be going there as well.
Have fun!

We spent a couple of days in San Diego before a cruise, a couple of years ago.
You MUST go to the zoo. It is totally awesome, and enjoyable for kids, teenagers, and adults. Allow a full day. We got there shortly after opening, and still didn't see everything. (It probably didn't help that I took time to take a million pictures, lol.)
We did an aircraft carrier tour too, and that was pretty interesting.
I've never been to Sea World in San Diego, but I've been to the one in Orlando a couple of times. It's very fun, and the shows are great.

I beleive that kids are free at the zoo for the whole month of Oct. I don't know what age they cap it at but if you go online you should be able to find out. That will save you some cash. I love going to sea world we have passes, and right now there are doing halloween stuff so it should be fun. Plus they have the bay of play that I'm sure your younger kids will love.
Mission Beach is a good place to go becaues they have lots of things to do. I think it is supposed to warm up again starting Wednesday so you should have good weather for all that you want to do.
