Default Obese!

I have to share this with my TT family, since virtually no one else IRL will get it...

As of this morning, I weigh 284 pounds (186 down from surgery, 256 down from my all-time high weight) - my BMI is 34.6. That means that I'm only "obese" - not "extremely/severely obese" (BMI above 35 - yep, that was me until today's weigh-in), not "morbidly obese" (BMI above 40 - been there, done that ), not "super obese" (BMI above 50 - uh-huh - day of surgery), or "super-super obese" (BMI above 60 - oooohhh yeaaah, did that one, too - all-time high was 64) - I never thought I'd be so thrilled to be called "obese" - amazing how pretty that word sounds at this moment!

Congratulations!!!!!! Your loss is simply astounding!!! You should be very proud. It is definitely a great milestone to be just obese. It's fun to drop that word "morbidly" from the description.

Keep up the great work Eric!!

Thumbs up

That's very cool, Eric.

I can remember when I went from being classed as morbidly obese, down to obese, and then down to overweight... I totally get where you're coming from.

Congratulations!

Congrats, buddy!

I'm still in the OBESE club too!

19 pounds to just overweight! (Which will also be what I weighed in like 8th grade!)

I'm really happy for you...especially after how long you fought to get to the surgery in the first place. Life is sweet, ain't it?

Eric!
Savour the moment and enjoy the (centre) stage!
I see it as a level for our minds to catch up psychologically and adjust to the newfound form! And you have the carrot dangling for the next increment...
Take your time to feel freer and healthier...
Good luck with the gentle steps to goal...
Cheers,
Vim
