I'm relieved to hear that you're safe - the reports on the Weather Channel have been horrendous.

My heart and prayers go out to everyone affected by this.

Clare!! We are definitely thinking of you today! I have been working on hurricane preparedness for weeks for our facilities in Florida, Louisiana and now Texas. Last week They've been referring to me as "Mike & Ike".

I've been watching the weather channel and it looks like the main part is about half-way past now. Can't wait for this to pass! Be safe, Clare! I hope you, your family, friends, and homes are safe!!

Glad to hear that you are okay, I have been very concerned about the people down there. Hopefully the weather will not get too bad where you are~

Claire,
Thank you so much for the text message this morning. I had just fallen off to sleep thinking of you. It was nice to return to sleepy land without all that worry. I love you mom. Please keep us posted.

SHe texted me this: "We are fine. Devastation nearby but we dodged this bullet. We did not have to evacuate. No electricity."

She won't be posting but she is safe.

Claire,

I will keep you in my prayers--are you near Spring Tx? Myniece recently moved there and thankfully was out of town this weekend but I am wondering if it got hit bad.

Thank you and many hugs

Power just went on. We are fine, our property is fine, but in the miles around us, and particularly at the Gulf coast, it is total devastation. Even the area where my job is has totally flooded and has live wires down and trees all over the roads. Houses have been crushed and people killed.

Not much rain, but wind is the issue.

I am so grateful, and I want to thank you all for your loving thoughts and prayers. It means the world to me.

HUGS!
