Default Weightloss Hypnosis

Before I decided to have the Gastric Bypass, I went to see a local hypnotherapist to see if it would help me lose weight. I was a little skeptical, but I did lose some weight while seeing him. I was talking to another forum member who was interested so I uploaded the sessions the hypnotherapist recorded for me to listen at home as MP3's for the iPod if anyone is interested in having them. They are specifically geared towards losing weight, but are also a great relaxing respite. Each one is about 23 minutes each and I like listening to them occasionally, if for nothing else than just taking me out of my world for a few minutes and relaxing.

If you would like to have the files for your own iPod, please PM me and I will PM you the links to get them.

-Mike

I too tried hypnosis...and lost weight. But it was so long ago... where do the YEARS fly?!

Do you still listen to the tapes? I remember listening to my tape and I'd "fall asleep" and evidently wake up as soon as it was finished. Didn't even remember much of the taped message. Strange.

So...yeah, I think I'd been interested in getting the link.

I tried hypnosis, too. I did lose weight, but ended up gaining it all back...

My family members were also successful at first and then gained their weight back, too.

Hey Mike, How does weightloss hypnosis work? I think I posted (a long time ago...maybe 3 years ) once asking if anyone had tried this method of weightloss. Sounds interesting...I'd like to have the files...maybe they'll help me shed the last 5 pounds? Thanks!

Hmm I might need this after the baby is here. I can shed the baby weight plus the little extra I want off. I always wondered if this really worked.

Hi Mike,
I would like to have your link to the sessions the hypnotherapist recorded for you. My email is cmerlo@smjuhsd.org. I couldn't remember how to send a PM, so hope this works.
and Hey!! I just noticed your birthday is the day before mine... but you're just a "little bit" younger!! *G* So Happy Birthday in a few weeks.
Also, just wondering -- what is your job as a teacher trainer?

thanks,
Cindy

A few years back I took classes in hypnosis and found it to be an amazing experience. I was expected to write my own sessions for various subjects.....smoking, weight loss, memory enhancement, etc. The weight loss script I wrote helped me to lose weight (yeah, it went right back on) but I didn't listen to a tape (can't hear them anyway) I read the script out loud to myself and managed to put myself under every time. All I needed to do was change the pronouns around....I instead of you, etc.

It was a strange experience, in that I didn't fall asleep and could read the script completely. I KNOW I was under hypnosis.

Anyway, it all works for awhile and then your mind shuts down the suggestions....like an old routine getting older by the minute.
