Unhappy intestinal bug

has anyone encountered an intestinal bug shortly after surgery. At first i thought it was by Gpass related as I had tried a soft scrambled egg that morning ( 3 weeks out ) everything fine and the 2 hrs later intense cramps and diarea for 12 hrs and 3 days of mild cramps and diarea. Then recalling a short outing the day before to the store and i began to believe i had caught a bug. A few phone calls and most people said results from either dumping, sugar, eating too fast or the wrong thing might cause the same results but short lived perhaps hours not days. ............Any help out there as i'm afraid to try anything now and i'm 3 weeks out of surgery.

I hope that you are feeling better. I'm sorry I cant offer much advice on anything since I'm still pre-op. I would try to determine if you are eating to fast? As far as the wrong food, try adding one food at a time back in, to try to determine what you can stand and what you cant. I've heard other people on hear that are post op say what works today may not work tomorrow. Also, if you have upset your pouch you may want to take it easy on it for a few days and try some liquids and make sure you get your protein in. Wow, I guess I've been consumming more knowledge on here than I even realized. The weekend is kinda slow on here, but hopefully someone will reply that knows a little more than me. Best of Luck!!

3 weeks out I had troubles eating, had about same thing. I just foundI had to go back to liquids and watch the foods I ate. You may now have a sensitive pouch. I use to have a cast iron stomache and I lost that now Dr says its a senstive one. I am now 7 months out and I still some times have troubles eating. Especially if I do not eat a meal on time. Its true that some days I can eat an egg then most days I can't even stand to smell one.
Take care be sure to drink and do viatmins and minerals. It will get better trust all of us. It does get better as you learn what foods you can tolerate. I'm just happy that I can eat different foods now.
Hope you feel better.
