Everyone sounds like they have great 4th plans.

Please remember to NOT DRINK AND DRIVE & BUCKLE UP!!

The town I am from is known as The Catfish Capital. We have a festival which started on the 1st and with the finale fanally with the fireworks on the 4th. Friday, we are having a cookout with lots of family and friends. My sister is in for the week. She is moving to Germany on the 16th of July, so I look forward to spending some time with her. I will prolly not get to see her for a couple of years. Friday night we will take Hailey to the Festival to ride a few rides, and then to watch the fireworks. Saturday, me and my girlfriends are on our way to Vegas...wooo hooo...4 hicks in vegas, should be interesting. Back home on Monday, and back to work on Tuesday.

EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY 4th OF JULY

We're having Chinese food. How American is that?

We're having a big party on Saturday rather than tomorrow. It's my mother-in-law's 70th birthday and so we're getting everybody together then. You know, we're not having anything grilled then either...my wife planned an Italian meal. Hmmmm...our Fourth plans are pretty multi-cultural this year. I wish I could talk them into Thai food...I love it, but nobody else does--so I never get to have it!

I will be staying home tomorrow, but Sunday I'll go to my mom's. She is making skewers of chicken, mushrooms, peppers and onions on the BBQ.

Actually, Chinese food is American food!!! Nope, not joking. I watched something on one of the networks, and they said all the food we eat at the Chinese restaurants today were created for Americans. So technically, you're eating American! American Chinese cuisine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SOOOOOO true! Authentic Chinese food is nothing like the stuff you get here at most Chinese restaurants.

The Chinese people at the restaurant my wife and I frequented down in NC invited us to celebrate Chinese New Year with them one year. The food was NOTHING like what they served in their restaurant! I am pretty open about new choices, but my wife was FREAKED OUT! I ate the jellyfish and the octopus (tentacles and all!) and had some chicken that tasted like it was baked in Lemon Pledge. We also tried this very bitter vegetable that I had never had before, but all in all, the food wasn't bad. We stopped at Taco Bell on the way home for my wife as she tried stuff but didn't really eat all that much! I, on the other hand, was shoving it in as though I'd never eat again!

LOL. Taco Bell is fake Mexican too! But I sure do miss the nachos with cheese, refried beans and sour cream. YUM! Fat free refried beans just don't taste the same.

When I was a month or so out of surgery, I was eating the refried beans at Taco Bell, and Chili at Wendy's...I still have them occasionally! (Whether they are authentic or not!!!!)

I watched the fireworks from my deck tonight.
Going to a BBQ at my aunt's house tomorrow (now today actually). I bought 2 dozen pastries, mostly cannolli, to bring.
I will split one with my nephew. lol (they are the small ones)

After that, I'll go to a friend's house and go for a swim and hang out.

The rest of the weekend: I need to vacuum and do laundry. Exciting huh? lol
