Off to the specialist
I am off to the specialist tomorrow and hopefully I will be able to be cleared to take my cast off. It has been an exceptional drag having this fractured ankle - sure threw a huge wrench into my exercise program - treadmills and casts just really don`t mix!! I`ll keep everyone updated as to what happened.
Hugs,
Kimberly

I hope all is going well! I remember getting my cast off following a broken ankle. You take your ability to move around easily for granted until you can't do it.
Also.. funny story... my sisters were into crafts at the time, and when they cut the cast off, there was one of those plastic eyes with the black disk that rolls around inside of it embedded in my leg. Looked Like I grew a cartoon eye in my leg. It had sunk in so far that he had to take it out with a tweezers. Hopefully they won't find any surprises in your cast.

Hoping you're back on two GOOD feet today! I know how that throws a wrench into your life... I had surgery on my achilles tendon several yrs ago-- totally messed me up! Keep us posted!

Back on both legs!!
Mike,
Too funny about the plastic eye in your leg!
I found out that I can 'ween' myself off the cast - I have an air cast so it does normally come off at night but I was not supposed to put any weight on my ankle without it. So, now I'm cleared to start using my leg and I have to start going for physiotherapy.
Thanks for the good wishes, I'm sure I'll be back upn on my treadmill soon!
Hugs,
Kimberly

Thanks... I'm walkin'!
Thanks Katie! I certainly am trying. I've been without the cast since getting home from work today and will be back in it for work only. If there is any balance or strength problems, I'd rather have them occur at home and not out somewhere. Hopefully, I'll be back at full strength soon and physio will help me get back into some major walking.
By the way, look at you!!! Amazing progress, girl, and your smile tells it all - you are radiant!
Hugs,
Kimberly
