Default Body Fat Scales

I was just wondering if anyone out there has a body fat scale and how accurate do you think it is. Has anyone had their body fat monitored the correct way w/ that little tool thingie that pinches you and if so was it close to what your scales said. I have a body fat scale and I was just wondering if it's correct or not.

In San Antonio, Inside Outside Wellness Center has a computerized machine that will perform a BMI by scanning your entire body and then calculates your BMI. Prior to doing the scan, he has a set of scales that will weigh you and calculate the BMI as well. The scales calculated my BMI at a couple of points higher than the body scan. The good thing about the body scan is that it will calculate the muscle weight in your body as well. I had the scan about two years ago and then at week 4 after the surgery. It was amazing how much of my weight loss was muscle and not fat. I knew that the body would take muscle first until you offset it with Protein and exercise. Now I have the test recorded and will go back in another 3 months to see if I have stopped losing the muscle and an truly loosing the fat now.

That is all quite very intresting. I wish I knew of some way I could get my body fat checked that made me feel more confident than my scales. Just so I know for sure

Here is a link to the Inside Outside Wellness Center and the information they have on Bone Density testing.

Inside Outside

you might want to check this out and then do some internet searching for locations in your area that provide the same service.
