Vickie, thanks for the info. I will look into that if things start to go bad for me. I saw my doc again yesterday, I'm stepping down to 6 of the Norco 5/500 this week. Down from 10 a day last week. Then he wrote me for 4 a day next week, then 3, 2, then 1, then done!!! He did say that if I feel like backsliding, to call him right away because there are other things he can give me. (he might be referreing to the methadone). I will see how this week goes, and keep you posted. Thanks for listening/reading. It helps me to post it. I'm off to work now! Have a good day!

Default Suboxone

I am really sorry for what you are going through right now. I watched my brother struggle with addiction to Oxy for years. He eventually graduated to smoking herion. I did some research and found out about a RX called Suboxone. I mentioned it to him a couple months ago and told him no pressure just tossing the idea out there in case you want to get off the H. He impressed me so much! He made the calls to Drs set up appts & I took him & paid for the pills. They are a miracle drug. Stops the withdrawal symptons and stops cravings. He gets sleepy from them but he can think and function like a normal person now. He had tried methadone in the past and it was not a good experience but this has been incredible for him.
I know not everybody responds the same to medications but this might be something to look into if you need help.
I can tell you paying cash for the meds is damn expensive. I think around $6-8 a pill in AZ (he was taking about 3 a day at first) but having my brother back is worth every damn penny.
I am so shocked by how few people are aware of this drug. It seems so unfair to me.
I know my insurance would have covered the RX for a copay of about $15 so it might be covered by yours also.
Here is a link the website.

Good Luck with this. I know it is not easy.

Jamie, I have heard of Suboxone and it is indeed a much better drug than Methadone.
