Default OMG I did it!

54 miles of tailbone breaking stuff and I finally made it to the finish line of the infamous L to B bike ride.

It's now 24 hours later and I can still barely walk - apparently I needed to train more than I did!

But what an achievement - if you'd told me 2 years ago that I would be doing this I would have bet my house on the fact that I wouldn't.

It was the best feeling in the world crossing that line - slower than I would have liked but I made it in the end!

Feel free to have a nosy at my album if you like...

lol!! Awesome.. why 54 tho?
Aren't most rides like 41 miles? 26 km?

Man my butt would fall asleep after the first 15 or so
I can only ride like an hour before I'm begging for a break.
Good job girlie!! I bet it felt good to cross the finish line

LOL - I guess they ran out of hills to send us up to make it any longer between London and Brighton and they didn't want to make it any shorter cause it wouldn't cause us enough pain!

I tell you what - 40 miles was definitely my break point - I was dying for those last 14.

And at the end of the race it took me 30 minutes to walk from the finish line to our hotel (a 5 minute walk away!).

Haha, that's hilarious. Sounds like me yesterday. Took me 30 minutes to walk somewhere and then 45 minutes for our 30 minute walk back home cause my pain pill hit rock bottom somewhere in the middle of all of that.

I like biking tho, it's really easy on my chronic pain condition and the only thing that hurts afterwards is my booty.

Is biking your primary exercise? How long did the race take you? I try to stay at least at 20km/hr but I get tired sometimes..
