Ok, here's a dilema I didn't consider before:
When should I close?
My surgery is July 22nd. They want to close on or before August 2nd. Should I close before or after the surgery? If I close before, the condo will be sitting there empty because I won't be able to move anything in or work on anything that needs done for a few weeks after the surgery. It will sit there longer and I will be paying for it I want to have the walls painted and the floors recarpeted before I move in. If I wait until after, I can pretty much start the light stuff right away. My doctor said 2 weeks before I return to normal activity, including lifting, and to listen to my body after that point.

Any thoughts?? My main concern was that I didn't want to close while I was still on pain meds. That's not the best mental state to be in when signing legal documents! lol. But I don't think I would be on pain meds that long, right? That's almost 2 weeks after the surgery.

I was off pain meds by the time I got home from the hospital... liquid tylenol took care of me - Re-ask about lifting... I seem to remember nothing over 20 pounds for the first month or so!

k

PS: Be sure to take before pictures so you can see all your home improvements!!!

I asked my dr several times about the lifting and exercising. I told him why, that I may be moving soon after the surgery and would have boxes to unpack. He said listen to my body and stop when I am tired, but that 2 weeks was all I had to wait.
