There was a LOT of controversy over this girl I guess. She had originally applied as a "regular" model but was a size 4 and they told her to gain weight to be a "plus sized" 8. She had already had some modeling experience but Tyra has been DYING to have a plus sized girl do really well so they saw this as their chance for that to happen. I didn't actually get to see this season because I DVR way too much stuff and it conflicted. I guess thats what happens when you're up and going until 9-10pm every night since you now have a bunch of extra energy. I'm hoping VH1 will do a marathon of it at some point so I can watch it all.

I couldnt even imagne myself as a size 8 ..... I am 6 ft tall and I bet my bone structure alone is a size 8 with no meat on it .. but I am never going to look like those chicks.... npr do i really want to ..... but thats just me .... I want to be smaller .. and I want to be healthier... but I know I will never hit a size 4 or 2 .. or heck I bet I dont make it to 8..

SIZE 8 is my goal
Gee if size 8 is still pluss size then so be it. All I ever wanted was to be in single digits since I was 9 yrs old. All the unrealistic images and expectations are a thing of the past. I want to be a healthy weight and my journey is in motion First Appointment is Wednesday for labs and a full physical , 12th Orientation with Surgeon and support group , 17th psychological and nutritional, then fax to INSURANCE and hold my breath
In the mean and in between Im stocking up on K20 water and shopping vitamins and protieins

MTV did one yesterday. She is very pretty and we (tim & I) were hoping she would win. I watch all of them! It's really the only reality show I watch faithfully. Oh yeah plus the fact that Tim thinks Tyra is HOT!! Yeah I do to!

Dang... I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Every time over the past couple of months that I've seen a marathon it's been seasons that I've already seen.

Whenever I see those 00-2 sized women I wanna tell them to go eat a sammich, and a big one.. I don't ever wanna hear them say, "I'm cold.." I'd say, "GO EAT!"
I love when a woman looks healthy, I'd be happy at a size 12 or whatever, it has to be better than what I currently am.
Have a great day!
Kimberly~

You are right, I watched the whole ANTM season (always do) and it was quite obvious they were grooming Whitney from early on to win. There were just way too many talented girls that got kicked off without any good explanation (Katarzyna, Anya, Claire, etc).
Whitney never looked very big to me. She looked more average while the rest looked very thin. I know Tyra is trying to "enlighten" people so they stop obsessing over waif-thin models, but in my opinion, she could be doing more damage by calling an average size girl plus size. Know what I mean?? I love the show, but everyone needs to watch with some perspective. When I was young and didn't know better, it meant everything to me to be skinny. Now, I just want to be healthy... the "size" (number) does not matter anymore.
