Default June 01, 2008...what did you eat today?

Hope everyone is willing to share what you ate today. This kind of thread has been done before and it helped me see places where I needed to concentrate my eating to supply maximum nourishment to my body. I really don't eat the traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner. I eat/drink six meals throughout the day and I try to keep them at or around 250 calories each. I snack maybe once a day, sometimes two, depending on how I feel.

Meal 1 - Kashi cereal with FF milk
Meal 2 - Whey protein drink - post workout
Meal 3 - Shrimp wonton soup
Meal 4 - Panko breaded Tilapia
Snack 1 - Watermelon
Meal 5 - Mesquite chicken breast w/Asparagus
Meal 6 - Whey protein drink - post workout
Water - Counting my two protein drinks, I will drink four more bottles throughout the day.

Total protein for the day: 125g
Total fluid intake - 96 oz.
Total carbs - 70g

So, how about you? What did you eat today?

Weekends are total off days for me so my diet today kinda sucks:

1. Lean Cuisine (Hunan Beef w/ brown rice and broccoli);
2. 1/2 of a lemon Zest Luna Bar;
3. 4 oz piece of bbq steak;
4. 1/2 protein shake;
5. Small Wendy's Chili;
6. 1/2 protein shake;

I have already brushed off about 40 oz of water...still working on it.

Tommorrow will be a better day as I get back to my routine.

I'm just the opposite. Mon-Fri are bad for me with long work days, lots of teleconferences, and stress. I'm helter-skelter all day with my meals, but I somehow manage to get them in. Weekends, I feel more relaxed, but going to an event for 2-3 hours can really mess up my day.

I'm 5 weeks out and am on soft foods ("regular" foods start Tuesday! YIPPEE!)

Since it's Sunday, I skipped my first meal to make sure I could get through Mass without any incidents (I had water, of course).
  • Second meal: 6 ounces Spicy Hot V-8 Juice with 2 scoops Any Whey protein powder
  • Third meal: 1 slice deli ham with cream cheese and chopped onion
  • Fourth meal: Same as above because it was so darned yummy!
  • Fifth and sixth: TBD (could be same as above!)

Food:
1 cup of 2% cottage cheese (2 sittings)
Lowfat PB and Sugar Free Jelly Sandwich on wheat (toasted)
Lean Cuisine - Chicken Enchiladas w/ Rice (only ate a couple of bites of rice)
1 Russell Stover Sugar Free Chocolate Covered Turtle (1/3 of a serving)
3/4 bag of Microwave Popcorn (94% FF Kettle corn w/Splenda)
1/2 cup of canned peas
1/4 cup of mashed potatoes
4 oz. piece of baked salmon (still working on it...)

Drink:
20 oz. coffee
16 oz. Crystal Light
20 oz. flavored water
(I'll have another coffee or tea after dinner and probably another Crystal Light)

Wow, when you write it out, it looks like a lot. So, I'm also going to add what I would have used to eat on a weekend day for perspective:

Pre-Op Sunday Eating:

Breakfast:
2 breakfast burritos from McDonald's
2 hash browns
Probably a sausage biscuit too.
Lunch:
2 Large bowls of chicken and dumplings.
1 large bowl of ice cream.
Snacks:
Peanut butter crackers
A Snickers bar
I would have picked at stuff all day out of the fridge and cabinets
Dinner:
1 - 1 1/2 cups of Sweet and sour chicken or General Tso's
1 - 1 1/2 cups of House Lo Mein
4-5 fried dumplings
2 egg rolls
1 - 1 1/2 cups of Fried rice
2 or 3 fortune cookies
Before Bed:
Either more ice cream, cookies, or something along those lines.

I'm nauseated now...
