Timing - and the Wild West - From T-T!!!
Hi Everybody!
I'm sorry I haven't posted sooner - I've been here for a while, but I have had a big job to do.
Ms. Claire has had me in her arms the entire time, taking me with her, even to the grocery store (where I am admired a lot!!). Ms. Claire often tells people the story of how I came to be, and what my mission is. And she has often mentioned that she wants me on the planned cruise in December - but she hasn't explained to me what a cruise is! I have to assume it's a good thing, because she gets this happy look when she talks about it.
Ms. Duckie sent me to Ms. Claire - and Ms. Duckie (who is very close to Ms. Claire and calls her Mom) knew Ms. Claire needs me now.
There is a lot going on here - Ms. Claire has been struggling with a heavy heart, which she has shared with you here on the forum. And now there is more.
Ms. Claire found a lump in her left breast about the time I got here, and her mammogram results, FINALLY in, were inconclusive because of the location of it (pictures weren't good), so today she and Mr. Glen and I are going for an ultrasound. Ms. Claire is soooo glad I am here with her. She needs me now.
Of course, she has her pups - and what a nice couple of pups they are. They don't mind sharing me at all, and we all get onto Ms. Claire's little lap sometimes!! Ms. Claire says, though, that my presence represents everyone on this forum, so having me with her means, to her, that everyone here is with her, in the form of me.
Ms. Claire and I went to lunch yesterday with her friend, Ms. Linda, and we had the camera and everything. And the camera didn't work!!!! New battery, and it still didn't work. We have another camera, though, so this weekend we will take some pictures of me with this family, doing what we do.
And oh my gosh, the wild west is amazing!! I am on this BIG ranch, with lots of hay and cows. Across the road there are horses!! People ride them!!! When Ms. Claire told me we were going to take a walk down the driveway to get the mail at the little box on a stick, I didn't think anything of it. But the driveway is FOUR BLOCKS LONG!!! Yes, true! So it was a nice little walk, just Ms. Claire and I. I look around and I don't see any houses - our closest neighbor is half a mile away. Peaceful here (Ms. Claire says "too peaceful!").
It's very hot here, so we don't spend a LOT of time outdoors, EXCEPT in the fun Gator. Now that's a trip, I'll tell ya! If I had hair, it would blow in the breeze. Sometimes Mr. Glen drives so fast, and we all say WHEEEEEE!!!!!!! The pups love it - I sit on Ms. Claire's lap, but the pups are in the back, on the truck bed, and their little ears just fly. We ride the countryside, particularly in the early evening, and it is very pretty. Where Ms. Claire lives it is very hilly, and we are at the top of a hill, so we have a lovely view for miles.
I like it here. They love me. If it's ok, I'm gonna stay here a bit longer, and take lots of pictures, so that I can be the support Ms. Claire needs right now, and I promise to represent you all and give her lots of hugs and kisses.
Your favorite sock monkey,

Chin Up my friend
I am so sorry to hear of your news. I will pray that everything turns out OK. I had cancer 4 years ago and am very glad to say after the radiation and surgery I have been fine since. Next month I go for my next check up. Remember being a member of our family here at T T, you are never alone. We are all here for you, every day, every hour...we love you.

Good News!
We just got home from the ultrasound, and I sat quietly on the table next to Ms. Claire while the radiologist did the ultrasound.
I heard him say words like "benign" and "only a cyst" and "harmless" and I saw Ms. Claire and Mr. Glen do the smileys!!!
Then we stopped at Starbucks for a delicious and appropriate drink. The cashier at the drive-thru did a double take when she saw me!!
Then we went to Office Depot for some unknown thingamajigs that Mr. Glen needed. And then we went home to happy dogs, and a waiting computer!
Doing the happy dance in Texas!!!
My time here is coming to an end soon, and I already know where I am going next. But first we will do pictures!!!!
