I went to the Syntrax site to see if I could get some free samples. I wrote them here: SI03 Inc I asked them for some samples, gave my name, and my address.

This is the email I got back:

As promised, I'll start posting some freebies for you guys. Caution: use a secondary email address when you sign up for any of these, unless you enjoy getting spam in your regular email box. I have a free email address that I only use for freebies, etc. Oh, and if a phone number is required, just make up one. I personally like Jenny's number....867-5309.

I haven't personally paid for a magazine in YEARS. At one point, I was getting over 20 subscriptions a month. I actually ended up cancelling most of them, except for the ones I really liked and read. Don't expect to receive magazines until 2 or 3 months after you sign up. But, free is free!

Here's another free magazine subscription for Motor Trend magazine. I'm signing up for this...I'm sure hubby and son will enjoy it.

This signup is a tiny bit tricky, but I'll walk you through it. On the initial signup page, it's going to ask for you Industry. Now, I've gotten tons of free magazines from this company in the past, but for some reason they don't like my true occupation (telecommunications) for the majority of sign ups. But, they do like Teachers for nearly every magazine offered! I enter my Industry in this order: Education; School/Library/Education; Education; and lastly, Educator/Teacher

On the page after this, it will say whether you are eligible (based on your entered occupation) to receive the free magazine. Click yes, and then it will bring you to a short survey. I answer "No Thanks" on most of these questions. Be alert though, sometimes it will offer you a free subscription to another magazine...usually they are digital, but sometimes a 'print' magazine will show up.

After the survey, you'll come to a page asking for your address, etc. It will also ask for Job Title, and Company Name. If you don't feel comfortable typing in this information, just make something up. I personally use my real company and job title, but I highly abbreviate it.
