OMG! American Idol!!! (Spoiler)
OMG! I can't believe that David Cook won by 12 million votes after all of the crappy comments that Simon made about him last night. I was hoping that he would win, but didn't think he would. Yay David Cook!

Yeah! I had a feeling he would win because of Simon's comments! His fans came through like gangbusters. I know I voted at least 20 times, and I hadn't voted all season. It took me the whole 4 hours to get those 20 votes in, and I was getting constant busy signals on all three of his lines. I had a feeling, but when I heard the large margin of victory I just knew it was going to be Archie. Yeah Cook!

I knew he would win.
But ...
They are both winners and very popular.
They have very promising careers ahead of them.

Yes, I definitely agree. I personally like Cook's style much better, but Archuleto has a lot of talent and will do well. I just wish the kid would sing something besides ballads. That being said, his version of 'Imagine' puts chills up and down my spine, in a way that John Lennons original version never has.

How in the world can someone win by 12 million votes?! How many votes did the other person have?

Seacrest said it was 93 million votes (I think?) and cookie got 56 % vs. archies 44%.. now.. I could do the math but it's almost midnight and I'm not gonna... you're younger and it's earlier where you are, you get to do it

There were 90 something million votes. To put that into perspective, only 60 something million people typically vote in a presidential election. Obviously, we as an American public, care much more about our TV music stars than we do our presidents.

But also...in American Idol, can't you vote like 10 times or something each night?
