Default Six Months Post-op Today

I write now in preparation for a new blog this evening. Today, I celebrate life as 6 months post-op GBS. I don't know if I should say "life as 6 months post -op" or if I should say, "Today, I celebrate life!"

What a ride it has been. So many wow's, so many new things, that really aren't new, but surely feel new. Re-newed, health. New friends (you folks). New personal and especially professional successes. New Cloths (Can a guy be a Goodwill Clothing Whore?) Re-newed SEX drive (Oh yeah - I am Bad to the Bone!!!) Simply said, what an amazing 6 months it has been.

The new avvie is a photo that was taken 10 days ago for our Corporate Website. I have always been inconspicuously absent when those were taken in the past. 10 days ago I was at the front of the line. Life Changes for the good.

I consider so many of you essential to my healing and health and truly consider you friends. I look forward to meeting some of you on the cruise and wish nothing but success and health to all.

If you put the first pic and the last one side-by-side, it doesn't even look like the same person.

You rock!

Default You are the reason

Jim,
You are the reason that people keep coming back here to this site. It's people like you that are so easy to like. I have followed your story since I started on here. You are a positive attribute to this site and to any future gbs patient out there. Keep up the great work. Handsome picture and strut your stuff. Lisa

Thank you Jim - for showing us how it's done - for always being a true gent - for always looking on the bright side of life - for never getting involved in pointless arguments and most of all for just being you and sharing your experiences so openly with us.

You have done amazingly well and I am proud of you!
