Default 5DPT - Week of 5/19/08

Mornin' Folks!

Here's this week's thread for the 5DPT!

My weight this morning: 245 (Yeah, I was shocked by that--there's something out of alignment in the universe I think...we'll see what Saturday holds...)

My plan for today:

8 oz. 2% milk for breakfast
24 oz decaf coffee w/ skim milk
32 oz water w/ Crystal Light
2 - 10 oz protein shakes w/ 2% milk & SF Caramel Coffeemate (about 35 g protein each)
20 oz Hot Tea later this afternoon/evening
Crab Legs (we're going to dinner tonight with Doug "Thumper", so I'm having solid protein. Since this isn't a "diet", I don't feel guilty--since I know part of the issue is breaking the carb cycle, which I'll still be doing!)

Tomorrow will be the same, just without the crab legs, and I'm thinking Wednesday will be the same with a little cottage cheese added in the morning, and salmon at night, rather than solid protein all day. Thursday and Friday will be on track with solid protein and nothing else.

Good luck everybody that's trying it this week!

-Mike

I've been good too...but what is up with me and cheese? I have thought about cheese all morning. I've got PMS too - Parmesan/Mozzarella Syndrome!

This happened last time, and wouldn't you know it, there's a BabyBel AND a chunk of Pepperjack in my work fridge and they are both freakin' TALKING to me.

I'm getting ready to have another protein shake--BLECH!

I put the SF Caramel CoffeeMate in the Choc shake I made this morning. It was like an "ASS" shake--it tasted like a swamp.

I'm not, overall, that hungry. I just want to put cheese in my mouth. (Peanut Butter would be good too.)

I made pancakes for the baby yesterday and took a little bite. It was SOOOO good. The baby ate like one whole one and then threw the other two. Liz thinks it's funny when the baby throws food. It makes Daddy angry...
(Cause Daddy is the one that has to clean it up, fish it out from under the fridge or behind the oven. She never throws just on the floor--it always lands behind some large appliance...)

Pancake batter is a liquid, right?

You sound just like my hubby with the food throwing... he really frowns upon it now that the kids are 9 & 7, but hey sometimes I need to throw something at them.

Yes, the batter is liquid...before cooking, do you want to drink it? Yuck!

Anything would be better than this protein shake I've still got to have.

I'm going to do it though--I'm committed, regardless of the nausea over HAVING to do it.

Mmmmm....an ass shake. I'm thinking of the recipe.

1 pair of worn underwear
1 cup FF milk

Soak undies in milk til skid marks are gone. Garnish with used TP. Drink and enjoy! (Butbrush your teeth before going public.)

Sorry...just got back from the gym and my brain is oxygen deprived. And speaking of the gym...holy cow! I thought I would be all draggy and unwilling when I got there due to the whole no solids thing...but it's amazing how much better my body feels when I don't put crap into it!

I firmly believe that this whole GBP thing is like getting handed a chemistry set...the more I experiment with food...the more I learn about how my body works and what's good for me.

Goal! I did it!
103 pounds gone since my RNY
117 total pounds gone forever!
I finally have a "normal" BMI
Reached my first goal of 145...and setting a new one of 135.
Reached 135 and have decided to lose another five if I can.

I'm in the 130's for the first time since puberty!
