I love this site and have been coming here for quite a while.I have decided to go with the duodenal switch surgery and it is so different from GBS that I have nobody to talk to about it. I find myself going to other sites with my questions ect...Would love to get more DS people on TT

Yes! A forum/sub-forum for each of the different surgeries would be wonderful. Even though there are only a few of us here on Thinner Times who have had other surgeries (compared to RNYers and LapBanders), it would still be worthwhile to add them.

ObesityHelp has LOTS of VSGers and DSers, for example, and it would be great for them to experience TT and share their information. I find TT much more user-friendly than OH, and I think many others would, too...

Thank you for all you do, John!

Thank you all for the quick feedback. Based on what I've heard, do you think the following would suffice?

Main Category Name: Other Weight Loss Surgeries
Sub-Forum: Vertical Sleeve
Sub-Forum: Duodenal Switch

... as opposed to building full-sized categories like Gastric Bypass and Lap Band (for the time being while they grow).

In the future we could build full categories for each procedure.

What do you think?

John

Mr Callery,
I think that sounds great and I would pass the word onto other message boards. Thank you! Lisa
