Hey Bridge! I got me a "Ken" and even though I don't have everything (material things) I have me one hell of a wonderful man. I wouldn't give him up for anything! He tells me every day that he loves me, walks me out to my car every morning at 5 a.m. He gets up every morning with me even though he doesn't have to get up that early, makes me coffee, my breakfast whatever I want, helps me pack my lunch, helps me with cooking if he gets home earlier than me, helps me with cleaning house and laundry, holds my hand EVERYWHERE we go. I could go on but I think you got the message.

So here's hoping you get a "Ken" to be your partner for life.

Oh yeah, forgot to say that we have been married "35" years this September!

Hey, thanks for chiming in. Actually, his canceling (repeatedly) at the last minute was just one of several things that were bothering me about the situation. Also, the way he did it wasn't very considerate. If it had been "just one thing" I would have been way more understanding. The first time he canceled on me at the last minute, I was very understanding and he later told me his aunt was sick so he had to go see her. I accepted that, gave my wishes for her good health, rescheduled the date, and had a good time with him when we did get together. There were a few things that niggled at me from other conversations, though, but he was worth a second date in my opinion...which he then rescheduled twice at the VERY last minute (as I was on my way out the door and done by text message). It was finally too much for me. I do like to think I handle situations with understanding and grace, and no I never told him he was "kicked to the curb" or anything. I just said that the time change he had requested would not work for my schedule and he said something like "ok, too bad" and has never called me again. Please don't think I am a rude or vengeful person who cuts someone off because I don't get my way. I may have presented it like that in my post here, but I had my feelings bruised and I kind of tend to assume you all here are MY friends and will cheer me up. Before I turned him down that second time, I did first have long conversations with real life loved ones who listened to my concerns about this guy and gave unanimous support of me not accepting the second rescheduling. Thanks for voicing your opinion, though.

Oy - if someone cancelled on me the last minute at this point, I'd flip. I have so much more preparation now!

Luckily - I'm waiting on planes these days. Hard to duck out of a long weekend on your way down the jet way.lol
