I actually met him through match.com. I've been looking at the dates I've been having off of match as practice, really, so I'm not too invested in any of these guys...yet. Mr. Right could be there waiting, who knows? I'm just trying to have some fun and get my toes wet. This whole dating again thing, not to mention using the internet to do it, is pretty weird, frankly. This was just the first guy I actually wanted to see for a second date. I'm sure there will be more! I'm just so happy that Bridget and Robin have seemed to have found quality guys -- that means there's still plenty of hope for the rest of us single WLS peeps!

I'm ducking as I say this
Nyn...I'm someone that's had to break dates and it galls me to have to but life comes along and things change. I wonder if you're "kicking him to the curb" without giving a little thought to the realities of life-juggling? You might find it isn't something horrible for someone to not be able to keep a time you've planned, and it doesn't necessarily mean they're a loser that will treat you like crap...I just wanted to say this because I don't like hearing the cheering when someone makes a quick decision early on in a dating relationship. There's gut instinct, and then there's the other stuff.
If this was gut instinct that he's full of b.s. or whatever your gut says, then following it is wise. But honestly a knee-jerk reaction to someone cancelling can really restrict your options in relationships and you just might miss a great guy because he had something happen that he had to be responsible for.
Just something to think about...and I'm ducking because other posters said "dump him, kick him to the curb" and others like that. Why so harsh? I don't get it....
A little grace and understanding goes a long way. It doesn't mean you're getting treated like sh*t just because things happen in someone's life that takes them away from a date! Gosh, if that were the case then I'd have lost a few potential dates that have now turned into great friendships (romantic thing wasn't there It happens and is part of getting out there and taking the big 'ol risk!
I hope you're finding some good ones, and having a good sense of what you'd like to find in a man. I found that once I knew what would work for me, then it made weeding through men easier

THanks for clearing up the time frame bridget. I was confused too. lol (doesn't take much. )
I can see what you are saying about the "things come up in life" idea. It's a good thought. I don't know if I'd stand for it either but...... lol
