Yes, try different types of exercise. Your body get used to doing the same thing over and over then nothing happens.
I agree with upping the calories. You are still stuck in that calorie counting mode hon. Thinking you are eating too much. Stop obsessing!! Think of how many calories you USED TO EAT to put this into perspective.

For me, my nut insists I stick to the 600 to 800 calorie range... I find it HARD.. particularly given my fiber needs.

Kelly that is a ridiculous amount. Talk about starvation mode! You eat what you feel comfortable with for the day. Concentrate on PROTEIN and in your case, fiber. Don't worry about calories.

Well, I thought so too, all things considered. I asked her about that again, yesterday.. she said that it was her recommendation, but that if I was having things like Salmon, I could go a little bit higher, but that because I don't eat fish... chicken is lower in calories so I should stick to that.
I was kind of disappointed in that response, I have to admit. I find the 600 to 800 limit so difficult to stay within. And the thing is.. the hospital paperwork has 'suggested food options' for 1000, 1200, & 1500 calories but none of them are lower than 1000 a day.
I do wonder if that might be why I am losing SO slowly (relatively)..

Just for reference, my surgical center recommended calorie counts like these:
0-3 months - 600-800
4-6 months - 1000-1200
6+ months - 1500

LOL cindy. That nutritionist hasn't a clue. That can absolutely make you lose slowly. Think about that.

wls isnt about starving yourself from what you want.. its about moderation.
theres some ppl i see here that arent being realistic about what they can eat.
I can go to chilis and have a queso... knowing that damn well thats all ill be able to have. My nut. told me... if u starve your body from having something.. eventually when you go to eat it .. you will eat double what you normally would have taken.
Its about portions!!!!!!! Pizza at 2wks post op- NO... ice cream sundaes 2 months post op- dont think sooooo.
use your brain people...

Ok Ok I give
Okay Cindy,
I was very harsh and rude to you and I apologize I guess this all stems from years of needing to open my mouth and never doing so. I felt so bad for Julie this all reminded me of so many things in my past. I am a very sensitive person and I have sat here all day worried that I hurt your feelings. I think you have done an excellent job on your journey and you are absolutely beautiful. Please accept my apology. Lisa

No worries Lisa... I have tough skin. I wasn't trying to hurt anyones feelings either. Like many have said before, it is hard to interpret tone over the internet...and not everyone understands or appreciates some of my humor.
