That reminds me of the time (30 years ago) I was well, ripped into when I was seen holding hands (okay, so we were also walking with our arms around each other) down the street of town in the middle of the day, with a young lady of African heritage. We were in the AF, in the same squadron.
Fu%king narrow minded people! I've never been back to that city, and never will. I'm not saying what town either because it doesn't matter. Friggin' rednecks!

I was soooooooo happy to hear this! Yay California! It was so shameful when that awful proposition passed to ban gay marriage -- now we just need to defeat the new one in November. But for now, marry away, folks! I bet Ellen and Portia throw an amazing party

Wow, if California has opened the door, perhaps Italy will take its head out of the Vatican and follow the trend. Here in Europe Italy is part of the European community officially and the rule for this is that each country accept the rules set in place by the Eurpean powers, the only problem is that Italy doesn't accept gay marriages in Italy and wont honor those who come from the other European countries who are officially married. The Pope is like this money, mafia presense here inside Italy that is like a nightmare that wont stop. The new government just elected after the Socialist resigned is a Bush carbon copy in all the negative ways and is all about following the Republicans of America, but I am not sure about following the choice of California, I can only hope.
