Default Amazing change in our lives!

I was just reading the thread about how Felicia's baby recently joined the world and it got me thinking about how being a member of this forum has allowed me to be a part of many people's lives in whatever small way it may be; hearing about new life and rejoicing with those new parents, hearing about health concerns and praying for those people, reading about heart aches and relating to that pain (sometimes more than I like to admit), rejoicing with others when they reach a milestone, asking for support and receiving it, logging on when I just need a friend - even if I don't post the forum feels like a comforting old friend sometimes.

What wonderful technology! Bringing people together from all over the world, many who have never met, to love, support, encourage and sometimes fight like a regular family. Before the invention of the internet I would have never guessed that I would be able to reach out to strangers all over the world and receive their support. Imagine going through this surgery 10 years ago and not having the blessing of this forum to help us through. This journey would be so much more difficult.

Anyway, a big thank you to Dr. Callery for this forum and for allowing those of us who aren't his patients to post. You have made an amazing difference in the lives of so many - thank you!
