Default Real Food....

I was told yesterday at my 6 week appointment post surgery that I could start back on "regular food". What should I stay from? What are some of the best things to start with? I must admit I am a bit scared, I have lost 62 pounds in 6 weeks and I am so nervous that it will all come to a halt going back onto regular foods.

I really love spinach salads, and I am looking forward to trying raw greens again, is this something reasonable to do at this stage? I seem to be able to eat most cooked veggies alright at this point.

Rice does NOT go down well. Neither does oatmeal! I am really looking forward to eating some bread. I have heard that toasting it seems to work better. Any truth in that?

Ok I have babbled on enough here... I welcome any and all advice about this please!

For me I couldn't add in any raw vegetables like salad until 12 weeks postop. At 6 weeks I started with deli meat, soft vegetables and a little bit of fruit. I stayed away from rice and bread for a couple different reasons. The first is that it made me feel really full and made my pouch ache...and secondly it really doesn't have much protein so I tried to eat food that gave me the most bang in a small volume.

personally i would NOT eat the raw salads / veggies yet. I am 4 1/2 months out and i just now started and have a rough time with salads still. I would do the lean softer meats, chicken, fish, tuna and even maybe some cooked broccolli or grean beans stuff that is easlily mushed in your mouth but when you start trying foods make sure your at HOME just and fyi
